When does a bespoke platform make more sense than off-the-shelf software?
When your team spends real time working around its tools: re-keying data between systems, keeping spreadsheets alongside the software that should have replaced them, or paying for features you don't use to get the few you need. Off-the-shelf software is the right answer for most standard jobs, and we'll say so. A bespoke platform earns its place when the way you work is part of what makes your business different.
Do we have to replace everything at once?
No, and we'd advise against it. We replace one tool at a time, starting with whichever costs you most, and connect the new platform to the tools that remain until their turn comes. The business keeps running throughout.
What happens to the data in our existing systems?
We migrate it. Each stage includes moving that tool's data into the new platform, checking it with you, and running old and new side by side where needed before the old tool is switched off.
Isn't bespoke software expensive?
Less than it used to be. AI tooling sits at the heart of how we build, which makes us quicker without cutting corners, so bespoke software now costs a fraction of the traditional enterprise price. Set against the subscriptions it replaces and the hours it gives back, it often pays for itself.
What technology do you build with?
We choose technology on its track record and long-term support, not on fashion, and weigh it against your scalability, security, hosting and budget needs. We intend to be around for a long time, and the platform we build you needs to be too.
Who looks after the platform once it's built?
We do, for as long as you want us to. We stay on as a long-term partner for security updates, performance work, new features and support, and keep you informed in whatever way suits you, from regular calls to a shared task board or Slack or Teams.
